Algebra & Geometry. Ini adalah coursework pertama untuk modul ini.Due date 16/3/2009. Ada lima soalan yang setiap satunya 2 markah. Kira-kira,10% dari total akhir markah untuk modul ini. Pada aku, modul ini...hmmm...susah?Memang susah tapi tak tahu lah yang susahnya itu modulnya kah atau tak kena gayanya.
Exercise 1: Show that each isometry of Euclidean plane is the composititon of at most three reflections.
Exercise 2: Determine which isometries of Euclidean plane cannot be represented as the composition of fewer tahn three reflections.
Exercise 3: State and prove a result analogous to exercise 1 for isometries of Euclidean space.
Exercise 4: By regarding the Earth's surface as a sphere of radius 3960 miles, calculate the approximate spherical distance between London and Hong Kong. In order to fly by the shortest route between these two cities, in which direction should you leave either of them?
Exercise 5: Calculate the approximate area in square miles of the shperical triangle with vertices at London, Hong Kong and the South Pole.
Setakat ini, semua sudah dibuat kecuali Exercise 3. Insyaallah buat nanti. Bukan apa malam ini terasa sedikit penat dan ingin rasanya memberi sedikit ruang kepda diri ini berehat sebentar.
